OX44 Gin: The UK’s Highest-Scoring Gold at the London Spirits Competition When it comes to celebrating world-class spirits, the London Spirits Competition (LSC) is one of the most respected stages in the industry—judging not only on taste, but also packaging and value. With over 700 entries from across the globe, competition was fierce and the standards higher than ever. Out of 415 medals awarded and just 26 Golds, OX44 Gin proudly rose to the top, achieving a remarkable 92-point score—making it the highest-scoring Gold award winner from the United Kingdom. This recognition is more than just a medal—it’s a testament to the craftsmanship, quality, and passion poured into every bottle of OX44 Gin. Against discerning judges and outstanding competitors, OX44 stood out as a true leader in flavour and finesse. We couldn’t be prouder of this achievement.

Individual Best In Show By Country awards demonstrated the diversity and innovation around the globe. The team at CAD were selected in this category and our OX44 gin was voted best Gin in the UK. Moreover, our gin was voted second best Gin in the world, being pipped at the post (by one point!) to a South African distillery. Gin asserted its ascendancy on the market with a whopping 179 awards and we smashed it! There were entrants from 44 different countries around the world from as far apart as Fiji and France and to Armenia and Venezuela.

The World Gin Awards are the global awards selecting the very best in all internationally recognised styles of gin. Our OX44 Gin was entered in the Contemporary Gin category and was recognised with a silver award at this year’s competition which the team were thrilled with. Contemporary Gin is a term for gins described as “New-Wave” and must be bottled at a minimum of 37.5% ABV.

This competition is the only competition of its kind in the U.S. that rates spirits according to 3 variables; Quality, Value and Package. Our OX44 Gin received an overall silver award. In terms of the taste component our OX44 gin received a 95/100 and this was one of the highest scores from all entrants, which was so pleasing.
